Job Presentation

Purpose and Objectives:
The EPI Support Officer plays a critical role in ensuring the effective implementation of the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) in Lebanon. The primary objective is to guarantee that every child in Lebanon receives timely and high-quality immunization services, safeguarding them against preventable diseases through effective and safe vaccines. This role ensures the seamless distribution and administration of vaccines, the maintenance of cold chain integrity, and the accuracy of immunization data.
Scope of Work and Methodology:
•Supervising, monitoring & controlling the vaccination program within the Qadaa dispensaries & Primary Health Care Centers.
•Coordinating the mechanism of receiving and submitting the vaccines to the entitled dispensaries & Primary Health Care centers, hospitals and some private physicians within the Qadaa per the guidance set by the EPI management.
•Monitoring the proper functioning and effectiveness of the cold chain system within each dispensary & Primary Health Care centers in the Qadaa;
•Ensuring that the validity of the documented data is pertinent and relevant to the vaccination process through regular revision of the reporting received.
•Coordinating & monitoring data entry concerning all vaccination processes.
•Conducting periodic field visits to dispensaries & Primary Health Care centers in the Qadaa to audit the documentation process, & cold chain.
•Building a team spirit and sense of interdisciplinary cooperation with the Qadaa Physician.
•Documentation of EPI activities per the guidance of EPI management.
•Perform other duties as required by PHC Department.
Deliverables and Schedules:
•Submission of monthly reports detailing vaccination activities, cold chain status, and data accuracy by the 5th of each following month.
•Comprehensive reports on field visits conducted, including findings and recommendations, submitted by the end of each quarter.
•Submit audit reports on the cold chain system’s effectiveness in each dispensary and Primary Health Care center after each field visit.
•Monthly validation reports on the accuracy and relevance of immunization data received from health facilities.
Profile Requirements:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Health Administration, or any other related field.
•Any experience working with immunization programs, vaccine distribution, or public health initiatives is a plus.
•Experience or coursework in procurement, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.
•Previous knowledge of vaccine cold chain management is a plus.
•Experience in data entry, data analysis, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity is beneficial.
•Demonstrate ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, plan and prioritize workload effectively.
•Knowledge in using standard office software (e.g., Microsoft excel..) and familiarity with data management systems.
•High level of attention to detail in monitoring and documenting vaccination processes and maintaining accurate records.
•Strong ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, including PHCC staff and Qadaa Physicians.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•Strong organizational and planning skills.
•Language: Fluency in both oral and written Arabic and English.
•Holder of a Lebanese Nationality.
