A multinational holding is looking for a Technical Sales Engineer for their Energy and Automation Division.

Job Overview:

As a Technical Sales Engineer specializing in Industrial Automation and Electrical Products, your role will be pivotal in driving our business forward. You will take the lead in managing key client accounts within several sectors to develop the business and promote our products and solutions, including LV switchgear, Energy management and Industrial Automation.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with panel builders, contractors, industrial plant clients, serving as their primary point of contact for all technical inquiries and support.
  • Understand client needs and pain points and recommend appropriate solutions from our product portfolio by offering insights and recommendations on how they can optimize their processes and achieve their business goals using our products and solutions.
  • Lead product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the value proposition of our offerings.
  • Ability to comprehend technical specifications, datasheets, and product documentation.
  • Maintain a detailed and organized sales pipeline, tracking the progress of each opportunity from initial contact to closure, and providing regular updates to management on sales forecasts and trends.
  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions with clients, ensuring alignment with company policies and objectives.
  • Expand the network of contacts within key accounts and the broader industry through participation in industry events, fostering long-lasting relationships and generating new business opportunities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify new business opportunities

Education and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Electrical product knowledge: LV/MV switchgear, Industrial Automation, VFD’s, Process Instrumentation.
  • Proficiency in Panelboards assembly, Energy Management, Industrial Automation technologies including PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), drives (variable frequency drives), Energy Management, SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), and low voltage switchgear, EV Chargers.
  • Previous experience in panelboards assembly and control system design with a strong understanding of selection criteria.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites and industry events as needed.

Skills

  • Very Good command of English and Arabic
  • Excellent use of MS office and AutoCAD
  • Proficiency in negotiating terms and closing sales deals.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with diverse stakeholders.
  • Certifications or training related to specific products or technologies can be advantageous
