A cosmetic company is looking to hire an IT Team Leader to be responsible of supervising the planning, implementation, and maintenance activities of IT business applications, network infrastructure, and security framework, while ensuring seamless operations and alignment with the company’s business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop the objectives & KPIs for the unit in line with the company’s overall approved strategy to achieve primary goals, in addition to setting individual objectives, where applicable.
  • Aim at achieving the operating results of the unit and ensure that appropriate measures are in place to achieve targeted objectives, reduce risk and make accurate decisions.
    Develop an annual budget for the unit and ensure that all employees are working according to the assigned budgets by setting the required targets and responsibilities.
  • Monitor and control expenditures against the approved budgets and reconcile budget variances to ensure on-target performance against budgets
  • Develop Policies & Processes for the unit in line with the company’s standards and other applicable laws and regulations and ensure proper implementation of the same by staff.
  • Develop strategic plans for the deployment of IT business applications that align with the company’s business objectives.
  • Understand all functionalities of current software/applications provided by external vendors and provide general guidance to the concerned stakeholders across the company on how to utilize these software/applications.
  • Monitor project timelines, resources, and risks associated with application development and implementation, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Lead the installation, configuration, and upgrading of databases, to ensure they are continuously operational and work out a plan for integrating, centralizing, and maintaining all the data throughout the company.
  • Ensure communication with vendors to escalate issues, troubleshoot software/applications and ensure the timely resolution of the same.
  • Ensure the regular review of application performance, making necessary adjustments and improvements to ensure optimal efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain a disaster recovery plan and implement backup solutions (cloud and on-premises) and redundancy for key software and data to ensure business continuity.
  • Lead the IT asset procurement process in coordination with the Supply Chain Management team, prioritizing efficiency and technologies that enhance overall company performance.
  • Manage vendor relationships in coordination with the Supply Chain Management team, including escalating issues, troubleshooting software/applications, and ensuring the timely resolution of the same.
  • Serve as the central contact for stakeholders to report issues related to external vendor-provided software/applications and offer technical support, including addressing break/fix activities when necessary.
  • Utilize software applications for data analytics and reporting to provide insights for decision-making.
  • Ensure all software licenses are valid and comply with legal requirements, managing software asset inventory and licensing agreements.
  • Develop an effective IT Incident Management Framework to address IT service incidents promptly and reduce future disruptions.
  • Determine the company’s needs of hardware, networks, internet, data centers (power, cooling, and building elements necessary to support hardware), facilities, and related equipment used to develop, test, operate, monitor, manage, and/or support information technology services.
  • Lead the planning, control, and execution of activities associated with the installation and administration of IT networks and infrastructure to facilitate seamless business operations.
  • Establish comprehensive backup and restoration guidelines, ensuring the consistent protection and availability of critical business information.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on a periodic basis to secure the networks from attacks and threats.
  • Supervise the upkeep of efficient communication lines and infrastructure monitoring to identify and address bottlenecks, propose infrastructure enhancements and improvements, and ensure proactive remediation.
  • Ensure the amendment of system records to accommodate changes in the environment, such as decommissioning and replacing systems, assets, or components.
  • Ensure efficient and timely resolution of any technical or hardware issues faced by the company’s employees.
  • Lead the creation of secure information systems and networks by determining and documenting security requirements, as well as testing security infrastructure and controls that meet the company’s needs.
  • Design security elements and controls in response to current and emerging security threats, bugs, and flaws to proactively mitigate risks.
  • Plan security systems infrastructures and controls by evaluating various network and security technologies, and establishing requirements for local and wide area networks, cloud services, and related security and network devices.
  • Provide security guidance to refine the company’s infrastructure, process, and technology frameworks, and elevate the organization’s overall security awareness.
  • Ensure that exceptional support and assistance to the company employees is provided through streamlining help desk operations, enhancing service quality, and improving user satisfaction.
  • Ensure that the company employees have access to the necessary IT resources and tools, addressing their needs promptly and efficiently.
  • Keep abreast of new technologies and industry best practices, adopting them as appropriate to ensure the company’s technological competitiveness.
  • Perform ad hoc and other duties related to the job as assigned by the Direct Manager.

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field.
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in the same or related field.
  • Experience in Oracle
  • Proficient in English and Arabic (verbal, written)
