Karagueuzian Howard Commemorative Corporation - Beirut, Lebanon

Launched in New York in 1921, the Karagheusian Foundation initially provided relief and education to orphaned children who had survived the Armenian Genocide. In the ensuing decades, as Armenian refugee populations struggled to rebuild their lives in the Middle East and elsewhere, the Foundation significantly broadened its mandate to help strengthen diaspora communities.
Beginning in the late 1980s, the Foundation instituted programs in Armenia and Karabagh as well, assisting communities impacted by the Spitak earthquake, war, and economic hardship.
Today the Karagheusian Foundation continues to touch the lives of Armenians in many parts of the world, by providing vital healthcare, educational, social-assistance, vocational, and housing programs, and supporting schools, orphanages, hospitals, and other community institutions.
