The Association Of Banks In Lebanon - Beirut

Founded in 1959, the Association of Banks in Lebanon (ABL) is a prominent industry association dedicated to promoting the interests and positive image of the Lebanese banking sector. It has been an active participant in public policy discussions and legislative initiatives, particularly those concerning the financial industry. Additionally, the ABL acts as a coordinator among banks to implement standards, procedures, and technologies. Its responsibilities also include aiding banks and their employees with negotiating and finalizing collective labor agreements, as well as solving any issues related to its enforcement. Led by an elected Board of Directors, the ABL achieves its objectives through the work of its professional staff and Advisory Committees, all overseen by the Secretariat General.
